Program Sponsorship

Our partnerships with businesses and organizations play a critical role in strengthening the three pillars of The Outside Foundation: getting kids outside, recycling and restoring oyster reef habitat, and protecting our environment.

These relationships create meaningful visibility for companies that share our mission through program sponsorships and event sponsorships. Partnering with The Outside Foundation gives businesses the opportunity to enhance their community profile, offer team building programs while supporting critical environmental programs.

Equally important, we also offer team building and community service programs designed for businesses, organizations, and colleagues.

Oyster Shell Recycling & Reef Restoration Initiative

Through partnerships with restaurants, festivals, volunteers, and businesses, oyster shell is collected, bagged, and used to build new reefs along eroded shorelines. Working with SCDNR, we target critical areas in need of restoration. In just six years, we have recycled 164 tons of oyster shell. This program doubles as an excellent turnkey team-building activity for businesses.

  • A group of smiling children and two women posing on a wooden dock with boats and a large residential building in the background. They are dressed casually, some wearing rain boots, and standing near a cart filled with green trash bags. Some of the children are wearing bright gloves and shorts.

    #EarthDayHHI Program

What began as a local Earth Day celebration has expanded into year-round education, engagement, and action. Activities include the School Sustainability Challenge, community litter sweeps, and awareness programs built around the theme #EveryDayIsEarthDay. In a single year, we organized 20+ cleanups across parks, waterways, and beaches, removing 1.9 tons of trash with 1,545 volunteers. This program also serves as a meaningful team service opportunity for sponsors.
