We ❤️ Our Volunteers!
We can't do our work with out you! Join our team of over 1,350 environmental sustainability volunteers that help us Get Kids Outside and protect and preserve our local environment.
Ways to Help!
Oyster Shell Bagging
Join Us for a Oyster Shell Bagging! All volunteers over 10 are welcome. This is a great team building activity held at the Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head Island. Dates are in the Winter & Spring.
Oyster Reef Building
In 2023 with the help of our volunteers, we built six oyster reefs to help protect our coastline. This activity is great for adults who don't mind getting a little sweaty and muddy!
Come out with our partners and sweep our natural spaces for litter. We typically have one scheduled sweep per month in either Hilton Head Island or Bluffton.
Join us and help set up or break down at one of the many community events we host and attend!
Kids in Kayaks
Are you a certified Master Naturalist, Trained Kayak Guide, or Retired Teacher? Please submit your interest in volunteering for Kids In Kayaks and our program manager, Susan Dee with follow up with you!
We Get Kids Outside and protect and preserve local environments.
A world where children of all ages are equipped with the knowledge and passion to explore, appreciate and protect the great outdoors.
We are at our best when we honor the equal dignity, worth, and inclusion of all people, of all backgrounds while working to eliminate historic barriers to outdoor spaces and activities.
Excellence and Leadership
We lead by example, modeling excellence in the quality of our programs and services and in operational and professional standards.
We value the transformative impact of partnership both within our organization and in association with others because together we can achieve much more than we could alone.
We are passionate about our mission. We seek co-conspirators that share our enthusiasm for achieving our vision.
We strive for, support, and encourage environmental sustainability, and the stewardship of all other critical resources–human, capital, and cultural–in all we do.
