Endowment Fund
What Is the Endowment Fund and Why Is It Needed?
The Outside Foundation Endowment Fund has been established to provide a funding source for The Outside Foundation’s annual operations. The reliable annual income provided by the endowment enables the foundation to focus on delivering its mission and providing program and essential resources to the community.
Community support for The Outside Foundation is key to continued growth and our mission to get kids outside and protect and preserve our environment in Beaufort County. You can make an impact and help ensure a bright future for generations to come by making a gift to The Outside Foundation Endowment Fund.
The Outside Foundation Endowment Fund is administered in partnership with Community Foundation of the Lowcountry.
How is the Endowment Foundation funded?
Although The Outside Foundation does receive support from grants and other government sources, the majority of operating revenue must be accomplished through fundraising.
We need your support to meet the demand and expenses of our programming. Your support of The Outside Foundation is critical to ensure middle school students in Beaufort County have continued access to “Kids in Kayaks” programs and events, regardless of economic status. This ensures financial barriers never get in the way of your family, friends, neighbors, and fellow community members participating in everything the Foundation has to offer. This also makes certain adequate resources are available to continue growing the oyster shell recycling and restoration program and litter sweeps.
Together donors to the endowment provide a meaningful legacy by creating a self-sustaining, dependable income source that will support The Outside Foundation into the future.
